I am the scent of my grandmother's perfume. The taste of sun-warmed blackberries right off the vine. I am the sound of my first lover's heart-beat. Three beats fast, three beats slow. I am the feel of wet sand-grains running through cold fingers, I am late-night conversations with my sister in an otherwise sleeping house. The smell of sea-salt, woodsmoke, and sex on my husband's hair and the sound of my mother singing to herself in the kitchen.
